(Open and Close with Sand Ceremony and the REAL ones, both generations)

Zeke, what do you think about having some sort of a “Sand Ceremony” like is done in weddings, with ALL of the fathers and ALL of the children.  I feel like a ceremony like that will join us all as REAL family.  From what our daughter said, the symbolism is that once the sand in poured in together, it can never, ever be completely separated or taken apart.  Have one for us with me as the first layer, followed by each mans children then Dad.  for the next, start again with me, the children, etc… over and over again until we go through all of us.  The last family unit will be you first, ALL of our children except the two I gave birth to, me then the two of them sealed with you at the top!  We can do the same thing with my mom and all of the children that are hers and if their fathers are still living, the same thing, with Mama and me at the top since I am her only living child.  My baby sister died a few hours after birth.  I already know that my father has other children that are not my Mom’s.  I want them included too, to join us as family too, even though “our” father in no longer alive.  Two generations of this!  Layers and layers of different shades of sand.  What do you think?
